1 लीटर के बर्तन को पानी से भरने के लिए-
(क)50 मिली के बर्तन से कितनी बार में भरेंगे?
(ख) 250 मिली के बर्तन से 3 बार भरने के बाद, 50 मिली के बर्तन से पानी भरने पर बर्तन कितनी बार में पूरा-पूरा भर जाएगा?
(ग) यदि 50 मिली के बर्तन से 12 बार पानी डालें तो शेष भाग 200 मिली के बर्तन से कितनी बार में भर जाएगा?
हल:
(क) 50 मिली के बर्तन से 20 बार में भरेंगे।
(ख) 250 मिली के बर्तन से 3 बार भरने के बाद पानी = 3 × 250 = 750 मिली
शेष पानी = 1000 – 750 = 250 मिली
50 मिली के बर्तन से शेष पानी भरा जाएगा = = 5 बार में
(ग) 50 मिली के बर्तन से 12 बार भरने के बाद पानी = 12 × 50 = 600 मिली
शेष पानी = 1000 – 600 मिली
200 मिली के बर्तन से शेष पानी भरा जाएगा = = 2 बार में

नीचे दिए गए प्रश्नों में खाली जगह को भरो (भरकर)-
(क) लम्बाई × चौड़ाई × मोटाई = आयतन
(ख) मोटाई × लम्बाई × चौड़ाई = आयतन
(ग) 2 मी × 2 मी × 3 मी = 12 घन मी
(घ) 4 मी × 4 मी × 4 मी = 64 घन मी

प्रश्न 3.
पानी की एक टंकी 1.5 मीटर लम्बी, 50 सेमी चौड़ी तथा 75 सेमी ऊँची है। टंकी का आयतन ज्ञात करो।
हल:
टंकी का आयतन = 150 × 50 × 75 = 562500 घन सेमी.
